Produced from 2000-2008 as part of the American Series, the American Telecaster® was the flagship U.S. made guitar. Features included a modern "C" shaped neck with 22 medium jumbo frets, Fender-branded Schaller® tuning machines with staggered post heights for better string tension, an updated strings-through-body bridge with stainless steel saddles, and two American Series single-coil pickups. The model was replaced by the American Standard series in 2009. This particular guitar has some nice wear and tear to it. It has some scratches on the back of the guitar likely from a belt buckle. It also has had some cool finish touch up with what looks to be green nail polish. It also ships with the original hard-shell molded case.
