Up for sale is this heavily modified Silvertone 1488 dubbed the "Crapsteel". This guitar is suprisingly good, it has been converted to be played as a lap steel. An extra string was added to the guitar at some point as well as a tall metal nut. The pickup has been moved in the cavity to accomadate the extra string, although I don't think it need to be moved at all. It is curently tuned to an open G tuning and sounds great. Also comes with the original amp case, it supposedly works however we have not tested it because it does not have a ground plug.
